SparklePilot

Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 15, 2026

SparklePilot is a scheduling and business-management service for independent cleaning professionals. This policy explains what information SparklePilot collects, why it is used, and the choices available to account owners and their clients. SparklePilot is operated by William Silva.

Information we collect

Account and business information

When a professional creates an account, we collect their name, email address, business name, sign-in credentials, and account settings. Passwords are stored in protected, non-readable form. Authentication records may include session identifiers, IP address, device or browser information, and sign-in timestamps.

Client and cleaning information

Account owners may enter client names, phone numbers, email addresses, home addresses, cleaning notes, rooms and checklists, service dates, recurring schedules, prices, tips, visit status, payment status, and cleaning history. The cleaning professional is responsible for having permission to enter and use client information.

Location information

With device permission, SparklePilot can collect a home location and the professional's trip location. Location sharing is optional, begins only when the relevant feature is used, and is designed to stop when arrival is confirmed or detected. Device settings can be used to deny or revoke location access.

Payments and subscriptions

Account owners may save Venmo and Cash App links or a Zelle contact, while SparklePilot records service amounts, tips, and whether payment was received. SparklePilot does not collect or store bank-account or payment-card numbers. Apple processes App Store subscription payments; we receive purchase identifiers, product, subscription status, and expiration information needed to verify access.

Optional cleaning notifications

If a client enables alerts, we store the browser's push subscription and encryption keys, or the iPhone app's Apple notification token, together with the chosen language and connected home so we can notify that device when a cleaning is completed. Encrypted notifications are delivered through the device or browser provider's push service. Clients can turn alerts off in the portal or device settings; switching homes removes that device's previous subscription.

How we use information

  • Provide accounts, scheduling, recurring visits, checklists, client pages, and payment tracking.
  • Authenticate users, keep each business workspace separate, and help prevent misuse.
  • Verify trials and App Store subscriptions and restore eligible purchases.
  • Provide requested location and trip-status features.
  • Maintain, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the service.
  • Respond to support, privacy, and account-deletion requests.

We do not use client records for third-party advertising.

When information is shared

Information may be processed by service providers that host, secure, and operate SparklePilot, only as needed to provide those services. Subscription information is exchanged with Apple to process and verify purchases. Information is also shared when an account owner chooses to send a private client link, open a payment provider, export data, or otherwise directs a disclosure. We may disclose information when required by law or when reasonably necessary to protect users, the service, or others.

Data retention and deletion

Account and business records are kept while the account is active and as needed to provide the service. An account owner can permanently delete the account from the account menu in SparklePilot; this removes the account's active client, visit, and business records. Limited security logs, transaction records, or backup copies may be retained for a reasonable period when needed for security, reliability, fraud prevention, dispute handling, or legal obligations.

Security and your choices

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect information. No internet service can guarantee absolute security. Account owners should use a unique password, keep private client links confidential, review device permissions, and keep exported backups secure. Account information can be updated in the app, and data can be exported from the business workspace.

Children

SparklePilot is a business tool and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly invite children under 13 to create accounts. Contact us if you believe a child has provided personal information through the service.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as SparklePilot changes. The updated date above will show when a revision takes effect. Material changes will be communicated through the service or by another appropriate method when required.
